One phrase, one message, enough to brighten the darkest day.

Sometimes, the smallest actions, like a simple message, can bring light to our darkest days. This reflection captures how love shapes our decisions, thoughts, and dreams, even across distance.

I miss you. Have I said it too many times? I don’t think so. I believe that saying to someone, “I miss you,” when you truly mean it, could never be a wasted phrase.

One phrase, just one, can bring so much light to a dark, rainy day. The content of it isn’t as important as the person who wrote it. This time, that person was you. You finally wrote to me. I’m happy now! Thank you, my love, thank you so much.

When I used to think about my future, I imagined moving to a new, foreign country; mostly for financial and social reasons. Then, for a while, I thought it wasn’t such a good idea anymore, because you had entered my life. You stayed stuck in my head, even before I met you, after seeing just one photo of you. But after you told me about going to the New World yourself, I changed my plans again. And so, here I am. Now, from this point of view, my original plan seems like the better choice. Maybe if I had stayed, I would have seen you more often.

You told me that you’re glad you have someone like me to remember. I’m glad I have someone like you to talk to.

Perhaps the choices we make for love are the ones that linger the most, shaping the paths we take and the memories we carry. For now, I’m just grateful for the moments when you remind me you’re still there.
