Some memories linger longer than a lifetime
Sometimes, late-night thoughts bring us to the heart of what we hold dear. This reflection explores those moments of wondering, of wanting, and of remembering the little things that make love unforgettable.
Every so often, like tonight, I can’t sleep. I spent the whole day thinking about you, and now it’s continuing into the night.
I see older people everywhere these days, and each time, I ask myself: “Will I see you when you get old?” By then, I’ll be old too and maybe forgettable, but I’m certain that I’ll still be in love with you. Even if I forget my name, who I am, or who I was, I could never forget my life, because you were a part of it.
Everywhere I look, I see people kissing: on TV, in movies, on the street, in the park, young and old. And, you know what? I very much like kissing, and I like to be kissed too. Kissing is healthy, by the way. But those 15 seconds of your lips on mine, oh God, the best taste of anything I’ve ever known.
Perhaps some moments are meant to linger forever, woven into our memories. For now, those 15 seconds remain… as we wait to see what comes next.
To be continued…
